Home Depots - Nick Offerman, H. Jon Benjamin, and Sarah Baker - Boom

Lowe's introduced the idea of robotic sales assistance and John Oliver suggested a strong Home Depot rebuttal commercial.

  • This needed to be cleared with Home Depot to use their marks right?
  • I'm wondering if they paid HBO to defuse the situation with Humor?

First Digital Marketing Job

I've never owned or worked at a bar, but can tell from watching a lot of Bar Rescue its not easy. Its a very interesting business, and with social media now in the mix there is more for Bar owners to worry about. Yelp, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Seamless, 4square, and open table (The list goes on) where is a bar supposed to focus its time and how do they stay relevant to people?

After years of living in the area I have become friendly with the owner of Bradford's here in Stamford. I looked at his website and social media online and thought it would be a great experience if I offered my help (Free of charge). I figured helping him with this problem would be mutually beneficial for both of us. I need some real world experience, and he needs some help with everything online.

Since everyone here loves marketing, I figured I would turn to all of you for help.

The first thing I think I need to change is the website: Bradford's Website (done on word press)
  • It just looks cheap - the formats are not standard throughout the site
  • Not customized for Bradfords - the site uses stock photos
  • No links to their social media
  • Weak social media posts
I've never used word press, and am thinking about switching the website to a Wix or Weebly based on the reviews I've been reading online, they seem to be more "user friendly". The goal is to create a site that is clean and easy to use. If it could look anything close to what Brother Jimmy's site looks like it would be a great success. BroJ's

Once the website looks legit, its going to be time to come up content to post on social media

Questions for everyone (answer one, or them all, anything helps)
  1. Has anyone used those web design websites? If so which do you like?
  2. Do you ever look at websites for bars? If so. what things do you like to see in a site ?
  3. What kinds of posts would interest you from a bar on social media?

YouTube - Hidden Feature?

Not sure if this is a hidden feature, but I know I've never seen it before.

Its a pretty cool way to filter for videos
